The 22nd edition of MDAG will open with a surprising and humorous film on the Israeli-Palestinian relations. Its protagonist, Noam Shuster-Eliassi, who grew up in Oasis of Peace in Israel, fights for peace  by performing as a stand-up comedian. Noam will be a guest at the Opening Gala, meet with the audience, and during the festival, she will present her charity stand-up for Palestine (Sunday, May 11). On stage during the gala, she will be joined by the film’s producer, Rachel Leah Jones.
This unique ceremony will be hosted by Błażej Hrapkowicz. After the screening, we invite you to a cocktail reception.

Noam Shuster Eliassi grew up the literal poster child for the Israeli-Palestinian peace process before making a hard pivot to stand-up comedy and political satire. But as the region sinks deeper into devastating violence, she must meet the moment by challenging her audiences with hard truths that are no laughing matter.
