The son of a famous shaman, the rational doctor Mathu Malby confronts his father’s legacy and family trauma when a devoted follower claims that his father telepathically saved her life.
The encounter forces Mathu to face his father’s legacy, his family trauma, and his own beliefs, transporting him into a space where faith, magic, and science intersect. Filmed over several years, the documentary transcends the boundaries of classical cinema, balancing observation with intimate participation. “Supernatural” provokes reflection on how far we are willing to believe in the invisible, and where the limits lie between reality and faith, skepticism and openness to the unexplainable, as well as between wonder and the mystery of the unseen and intangible.
