The film follows three explorers: Mexican archaeologist Fatima Tec Pool, who studies mystical cenotes; Radley Garrett, a geographer exploring forgotten, human-made underground worlds; and Mariangela Lisanti, a physicist who ventures several kilometers below the surface in search of traces of dark matter.
