Graduated from the French Institute of Political Studies and from the EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs), Sylvie Brenet has been a producer in Les Films d’Ici and Elzevir & Cie for ten years. She is now a producer in Les Films du Sillage, a French documentary production company she created in 2016 and manages since then. Her knowledge and taste for documentary films come from the five years spent in her native city, Marseilles, working for the International Documentary Film Festival (FID), that she first joined in 1998 as deputy of the artistic director for three years. During these years, she developed her critical thinking, but also her high standards for the films' form and point of view. She also participated in the selection of the films for the FIGRA Festival in 2023 and 2024.
