Anna Weitz is a Documentary Film Commissioner at the Swedish Film Institute, a role she has held since August 2020. She supports Swedish short and feature-length documentaries, hybrid films, and international co-productions (Swedish minority productions). Anna has been involved in documentary filmmaking since 2005, working primarily as a producer and short film director. She is a graduate of EAVE producers workshop and Docsociety's Impact Producers Lab. Her filmography as sa producer includes Silvana (Guldbagge Award for Best Documentary, 2017), Josefin & Florin (Guldbagge Award for Best Editing, 2018, Prix Europa Award), Detained (Guldbagge Award for Best Documentary, 2015), and The Choir (2021).
