Korek Bojanowski – a screenwriter, director, producer and film scholar, and a graduate of EICAR in Paris – is a co-owner of AMONDO FILMS, a company producing feature and documentary films (including “Maquinaria Panamericana,” “Hel,” and “Hole in the Fence”), which also runs Amondo Kino, the smallest cinema in Warsaw; he co-founded the company with Paweł Tarasiewicz and also co-runs Asterfilm with Marta Krzeptowska. His feature debut “Loss of Balance” premiered in the Main Competition of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia (where it received four awards), was screened at the Shanghai International Film Festival (winning Best Screenplay), and has garnered numerous accolades internationally; it was released theatrically in 2025. He is the recipient of the “Perspektywa” Award and the Polish Minister of Culture Award (2024), a Ministry of Culture fellow (2025), and a member of KIPA, the Polish Directors Guild, and the Polish Filmmakers Association.
