Maciej Bochniak is a director of feature films, documentaries, and television series. He is the recipient of the "Perspektywa" Award for his debut feature, "Disco Polo", which drew nearly one million viewers to cinemas in less than six weeks. He also won the Golden Claw at the 45th Gdynia Film Festival for his film "Magnesia". His third feature, "Freestyle"—produced for Netflix—reached the Top 10 in over 20 countries and was presented in the Main Competition of the 48th Gdynia Film Festival. He is the creator of acclaimed documentaries produced in collaboration with HBO, including: "One Billion Happy People" and "Ethiopiques: Revolt of the Soul". Currently, he is working on the Polish version of the cult series "The Office" (Canal+), where he is now filming its sixth season.
