Geertje Hadderingh graduated in 2023 from the Utrecht School of the Arts. Her graduation film Voor Jullie (2023), in which she searches for a photograph featuring her now-divorced parents, was selected for, among others, Go Short and the Netherlands Film Festival. Spottertjes (2025) is a film for young audiences in which she focuses on the friendship between two boys who love nothing more than spotting expensive and fast supercars. Spottertjes premiered at Cinekid and was selected for Best Dutch Short Youth Film. Her work explores socially urgent themes, with a particular sensitivity to stories of human connection. Authenticity is at the core of her practice; she is drawn to stories that are both intimate and resonant, seeking to create films that genuinely move people and bring them closer together.
